I have fallen in love with a lipstick. I know you may be thinking that it must happen all the time but no. I often fall in lust but not in love and this is love. It seems that I have been searching and searching for that everyday, go - to, handbag essential lipstick for what feels like an eternity. That perfect my lips but better shade has always slipped to the wayside while out shopping, in favour of bright pinks, coral and reds and then I would consistently find myself in need of that natural lip. I decided to smarten up and buckle down on the search and it didn't take long for me to find this beauty, the Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in shade 668 Primrose.
Primrose is the perfect rosy nude with a hint of lilac. It has both tones of pink and blue with a nude base that come together to create a sort of rosy flush. It is beautiful. Additionally, Primrose is a fantastic match for my skin tone because it is relatively light on the nude lipstick scale but it is no where near concealer territory. It takes my fairly pigment-less lips and gives them just the right amount of rosy tint to appear natural. The formula, as with all Revlon lipsticks, is wonderful. It glides on smoothly and doesn't cling to any of my dry patches. It is actually quite moisturizing and lasts for about 3 hours before i need to reapply.
In my opinion, Primrose is the perfect everyday lipstick because it is a no fuss product. It is creamy and easy to apply without a mirror as the shade is so natural. It adds just a little bit of colour and life to my complexion without being complicated and high maintenance.
