Last night I wandered to downtown Hamilton with a couple of friends to check out the Street Fashion portion of Hamilton Fashion Week. This was the second night of Street Fashion exhibitions, where local designers from all over Hamilton came out to throw impromptu guerrilla style runway shows along James Street North!
It was a beautiful night, perfect for enjoying some amazing fashion. I was blown away by some of the designs, especially by the first three shows that were all designed by young adults, two of which were still in highschool!
The amazingly talented Rachael Warner
Out of this world designs by Nebula ArtWear
Super chic and 90's inspired daywear by Manuela
Gorgeous gowns by Olinda
About halfway through the night we changed locations to the James North General Store to view two amazing accessory collections. I have to say this was my favourite part of the night, I am completely in love with the stunning scarves by Volver.
The beautiful designer of Volver and her daughter
Of course, the stunning designs of Worn West
It was a fantastic night and I really enjoyed seeing some of the talent coming out of Hamilton. There are more Street Fashion shows today from 12 - 6pm, followed by the incredibly exciting Gala Fashion Show at Christ Church Cathedral. Doors open at 6:30, I hope to see some fellow Hamiltonians there!
