Wedding Wednesday | Planning the Perfect Engagement Photos With Wedding Paper Divas

Hey Beauties!

So I've been officially engaged for just a few weeks and they have been a complete whirlwind! I never realized exactly how much you needed to nail down right away to make sure you could get your dream wedding.

One of those things is the photographer, your photographer is without a doubt one of the most important aspects of your wedding since they will be in charge of capturing all of the special moments and celebrations. Most of the time, they will also be capturing your happy engagement and it will probably be your first time (or your fiance's) in front of the camera.

So to make sure you both feel as comfortable as possible, there are a few things you need to do.

1. Find a photographer & meet with them for coffee just to chat and get to know each other! This will drastically help everyone in feeling more like friends taking photos and less like a stiff shoot with a stranger.

2. Find a quiet location that has some sort of meaning to both of you but is also low on traffic so you won't feel self conscious.

3. Do your research! This is where somewhere like Wedding Paper Divas comes in super handy! Take some time and look online for some inspiration so you get an idea of what you want your photos to look like.

Wedding Paper Divas has created a fun interactive article featuring 100 engagement photo ideas that can be searched via different filters such as season, indoor or outdoor and even with or without pets!

Their interactive article is such a handy way to narrow down exactly what you want so you can go into your shoot as prepared as possible! Check it out here!

For my engagement photos (as well as wedding photos) I have chosen the incredible Caroline from Caroline Elizabeth Photography! Not only is Caroline my cousin and a fantastic friend she is also an incredibly talented photographer and we have loved working together in the past. Check out a couple examples below!

Caroline is so talented and I love the way she sees the world through her camera. We have decided upon a local cafe and a national historic site to take our photos so I could not be more excited!

We are actually meeting today to discuss all of the details but I can't wait to see how the photos turn out!
