When I look back onto my childhood, I can clearly recall how obsessed I was with everything and anything pink, particularly roses. I was without a doubt, a true girly girl and nothing made me happier than a bit of pink and a rose or two. Maybe it was destiny with Rose as my middle name but I truly embraced the pink lifestyle and I have never changed my ways.
Combine that with my love of anything Parisian and L'Oreal's newest collection is what my dreams are made of.
"La Vie en Rose" directly translates to "life in pink" and it means to live in a constant state of bliss where everything is beautiful.
L'Oreal captures this perfectly with their limited edition "La Vie en Rose" Color Riche Collection Exclusive Lipsticks and Nail Polishes.
Following in the footsteps of the wildly successful Collection Exclusive Nudes (review here) & Pure Reds (review here), this range takes L'Oreal's iconic Color Riche lipsticks and polishes and offers a shade of pink perfection tailored for every woman and every skintone.
The "La Vie en Rose" collection features 6 shades (8 in the US) of matching lipstick and polish that are inspired by L'Oreal's spokesmodels such as Blake Lively and Julianne Moore. Each shade is designed to offer a delicate match for every woman, depending on her hair, eye and skin colour. It takes the guess work out of finding the best shade for you and shows you what is possible when you apply that perfect pop of pink.
The collection features 6 stunning custom made, velvet matte lipsticks in varying delicate shades of pink. Designed to give a sheer flush of pink with a soft matte finish they are formulated with micro fragments of Mother of Pearl and then combined with velvety pigments. The mixture ensures a radiant pink glow with a soft matte finish.
The lipsticks are fully saturated with colour that translates softly on the lips for a sheer luminous, pink flush. They are really smooth and glide well over the lips without sticking to dry patches or falling into lip lines. They do have L'Oreal's signature rose perfume scent so keep that in mind if you are sensitive to smell.
The shades range from lighter to darker based on skin tone, each with different undertones and levels of richness.

The nail polishes have L'Oreal's signature formula that features intense saturation, gorgeous shine, quick dry time and full opacity in two coats. The shades are well coordinated with the lipsticks but do not necessarily match perfectly.However, they compliment each other beautifully when worn together.
The "La Vie en Rose" collection is an absolute dream for my fellow pink lovers, or even for those who might not be fully comfortable with a bright pink lip. The range features a beautiful selection of bright, summery pinks for every skin tone and the sheer formula makes it easier for people to go outside of their comfort zone and try something a little bit brighter.
I love everything about the collection from the packaging to the formula and I wish they weren't limited edition. If you are interested in trying one of the "La Vie en Rose" lipsticks or polishes then make sure to run out to your nearest drugstore ASAP.
