One of my favourite trends for makeup this Spring and Summer is teal eyes! This trend has been seen across runways and in many magazines in a variety of different ways. Many have been spotted with intense teal eyeshadow and gorgeous teal nails. For this look, I wanted to incorporate this beauty trend into a everyday wearable makeup look.
For this look, I wanted the focus of course to be on my teal eye! I kept my skin simple and flawless by using my usual everyday routine. I started off by using the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in Nude. Then, I concealed my under-eye area with my Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse Foundation in Classic Ivory and set it with the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Creamy Natural. For cheeks, I of course used my Bourjois blush in Rose de Jaspe...what else is new!? Then, I filled in my eyebrows with Sephora's eyebrow pencil in Midnight Brown.
Now to the eyes! I wanted to keep my lid simple, so I used a light taupe brown eyeshadow from my Sonia Kashuk Eye Palette in Perfectly Neutral. I lined my eyelid with Stila's Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner in Black, I also tight lined my eyes with Tarte's EmphasEYES waterproof clay liner in black.
To achieve my teal eyes, I used MAC's Eye Kohl in the colour Minted and MAC's Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Jade. I used the darker green eyeliner (Minted) for the outer half of my lower lid and the metallic teal liner (Jade) for the inner half of my lower lid. I obviously coated my lashes with Too Faced's Better Than Sex Mascara. I then finished off this gorgeous and easy look with NYX's Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Beige.
