Hey Beauties!
About a week ago I gave you guys a peek at a pretty exciting haul (see here) featuring products that until now had been just about impossible to get your hands on in Canada and if you could track them down, the selection was always abysmal. Well, I promised to tell you guys more about the incredible store where I found those goodies and today is the day!
The brand new Rexall #InspiredBeauty Beauty Department is located at 901 Eglington Avenue West in Toronto. It is the first concept location for the new department that is dedicated to all things beauty with at least 10 more rolling out in the near future.
The Inspiration
Rexall has gone above and beyond and created a space that offers a full-service experience for both the beauty lover and the new adventurer. They performed extensive customer research, asked consumers for their honest feedback and worked closely with both their large and smaller beauty brands to create the ultimate destination that answers every beauty need possible.
Design & Experience
The Beauty Department is an entirely revamped environment that will change the way you shop by bringing cosmetics, tools, skincare, nails, hair care, body care, and fragrance into one easy to shop destination. It is exceptionally designed with an incredibly open and spacious layout that makes for great accessibility.
The overall atmosphere is very reminiscent of the shopping experience you find in top department stores but with a much more approachable vibe that makes you feel very comfortable.
Rexall chose a clean, sophisticated black and white design that showcases each individual brand and lets the products themselves do the talking. The brightly lit space and organized boutique like shelves are thoughtfully designed to highlight the products without the typical mess of mismatched packaging and overstocked shelves.
End caps feature new releases and the latest trends in makeup with everything you need to achieve that trend in one spot. Most displays come equipped with testers so that customers can actually sample products before selecting them.
A Personal Touch
Rexall has arranged to have trained specialists and cosmeticians on hand to help customers choose the right products and explain their purpose and the best way to use them. They have stations available to walk customers through every stage of a beauty routine and to answer any possible question from Skin Analysis to full on Makeup Application.
Brands & Availability
The Beauty Department carries an incredible mixture of both prestige and drugstore products but all are available at a very affordable price point. It features the staples we all know and love like L'Oreal, Covergirl, Maybelline and Revlon as well the hard-to-find brands that have previously been impossible to find in Canada such as Milani, e.l.f, NYX, theBalm, Studio Makeup, Pupa, Iman, and Emani.
It also showcases Canadian made products from brands like Cargo, Vasanti, and Deciem.
The skincare selection reflects the shelves of a french pharmacy with a focus on brands that truly do good for your skin like Bioderma, Avene, La Roche Posay, Vichy, Strivectin, and Neostrata. In this new department not only can you shop these brands but you can also have a personalized skincare routine designed just for you!
Selection
Each brand has it's very own display that is designed to help each brand stand out from the crowd. They each feature an extensive range of products that are fully stocked in every shade and expertly organized to make shopping a breeze. The products are grouped into sections that help you find everything you need from base products to shadows, mascara, and lipsticks and even the tools you need to apply them like brushes from Real Techniques and accessories from their in-house brand KIT.
Final Impressions
The new Rexall Beauty Department is an absolute delight and a true revolution in the beauty world. It gives customers the convenience and atmosphere of a high-end department store with the prices and ease of your local drugstore. As a customer, you can actually enjoy your shopping experience and feel like you leaving more knowledgeable and more prepared.
I had an incredible time at the #InspiredBeauty launch and left with a fantastic selection of products that have been on my wishlist for the longest time. I can't wait for the Beauty Department to spread out across the country because it will change the way you shop for good!
