Believe it or not, I have not always been a fan of lipstick. Apart from my collection of purple lipsticks as a child, I only dabbled in a tube here or there but never really committed, preferring a liquid lipstick or lip balm. Fast forward a few years later and I have more lipsticks that I can keep track of. However, one brand that always sticks around is Rimmel, the Kate Moss matte lipstick in 107 was the first lipstick that I truly fell in love with and that affair has never stopped - I'm on my third tube!
My collection has changed over the years but I thought I would show you the shades that are currently living on my vanity - love the packaging, totally vanity worthy.
I have tried quite a few shades from the Lasting Finish collection and I have enjoyed all of them but the two that I always go back to are 14, a darker mauve-y nude and 05 a bright raspberry pink. While 14 is not the typical nude or even the most classically flattering for a pale skin tone, I really like it! It would be a great option to get those Kylie Jenner lips everyone is talking about. On the other side of the spectrum, 05 is incredibly bright and looks gorgeous with my complexion, a great summer shade.
When it comes to the original Kate Moss matte formula, I have three of those beauties. Of course I have my trusty 107, a deep berry red, for summer nights out, 109 a bright red toned orange, and 102 a neutral rosy pink for a pop of colour during the day. Both 109 and 102 are newer additions to my collection and I've only worn them a few times but I really love the bright shades for summer and the formula is amazing as with all of the Kate Moss collection. They are all incredibly creamy and apply smoothly without any patchiness. They are Matte, so make sure you exfoliate and moisturize your lips before hand or they will show off those dry bits.
