Hey Beauties!
Happy March! I made the decision to take the last week or so away from the blog in order to really be present in my life. It was not only my birthday but also my sister's and one of my closest friend's. With so many wonderful occasions come dinners, parties, and good old family time and I really wanted to be present and enjoy that time.
So now I'm back feeling loved, refreshed and oh so thankful! I truly feel like this is going to be a benchmark year in my life and I believe that God has great plans for me in this coming season.
Thank you SO very much to everyone who took the time to say happy birthday on social media and my previous posts. Your words and sweet wishes, mean so much to me! Now onto the post!
To kick off the birthday celebrations, my bridal squad and I stopped by one of my favourite spots in Hamilton - Toast Wine Bar.
Toast is a girl's dream come true and a real gem in this city. It is a sophisticated getaway, settled in the middle of too many bars and breweries, where you can grab a glass of wine and a bite to eat at any time of day.
Residing in the old Treble Hall Music Building on the corner of King and John, Toast showcases the beauty and the history of their home while adding touches of their own personality.
Started by two friends, Toast is the perfect place to catch up with the girls, go on a date, host a party, or even celebrate after a long day at work. The space is intimate, cozy and almost sensual with sleek accents, vintage decor and a candle on each table. Grab a seat at the bar or find a corner booth for a late night chat, once you sit down you won't want to leave.
The girls and I love nothing more than catching up over a glass of wine and a few yummy bites so Toast is perfection. They offer something for everyone with a variety of mixed cocktails and an extensive collection of champagne and wines that can be ordered by the glass, the bottle or the flight ( a tasting platter of sorts).
They also have an incredible menu that has just been expanded to include lunch. As the name suggests, they offer an array of delicious toast based dishes all of which can be enjoyed in a bite or two. You can also enjoy small salads, charcuterie, sandwiches and starters such as warm olives and nuts. Everything is seasonal and locally sourced so you never know what you might be able to enjoy!
The girls and I decided to each get a glass of wine, a mimosa and a few bites to share! Everything was absolutely delicious and it was the perfect way to celebrate a new year with the best of friends.
Hope you enjoyed this peek at one of my favourite local loves and my birthday celebration!
A huge thank you to my favourite girl and photographer Heather for these gorgeous shots.
Make sure to check out my girl Monique's blog Oenophilia - an incredible food & lifestyle blog - for a more in-depth review of Toast!
